#FemmeFierce Fashion Show

A little less than a month ago, I had the amazing experience of showing my first ever collection in my school's Spring 2015 fashion show!!

My collection, PRIZ'MATIK, consists of brilliant colors and unique, geometric shapes that catch your eye! Natural rocks and raw crystals are my biggest inspirations for this collection.

Here are some pictures from the show!! The runway photos were taken by Ryan Houston. He did a great job capturing my designs! My models also did an amazing job, and it was a dream come true to see my designs strut down the runway like they did.

Also, here is a video highlighting moments from the fashion show! You can catch glimpses of me and my designs here and there :)

This is just the beginning of time in the fashion industry. I'm excited to continue designing and see where I go in the future!!

Icecream, youscream!

I love prints yes i do.. I love prints! Do you too?! So hey there.  ;---)

Today's post comes with a fashion tip....! I love to wear tights with my dresses in the fall and winter.. but in the summer some of my dresses are too short for me without them. So I have come up with a trick that I use some of the times. I fold in the bodice of my dress into the skirt part (you can put a slip over the bodice part to smooth out any bumps it may want to make) and use my dress as a skirt! Its a fun way to be able to lengthen my dress a little and wear it with some different shirts and blouses :)
If you don't have the issue of your dress being too short without tights or leggings then you can also still layer different tops over your dresses to give yourself some more fun outfits. *You can refer back to one of my first posts if you like about how I layered a sweatshirt over one of my dresses to get a more edgy look.
I love this outfit because it has such a fun and flirty ice-cream print on the dress, and I loved pairing it with the edgy crop top and black denim jacket. The mixture of edgy and sweet is my favorite style if you haven't noticed.

I Designed an Evening Gown!!

Ever since I started sketching my own designs, I have loved formal wear; I was very excited to finally design and construct my first ever long formal dress!! I designed a beautiful blue evening gown. This gown has style lines that diagonally meet at the waist coming from the bodice and skirt. I’ve always been drawn to cool style lines that make the eye dance around the item of clothing. I loved being able to pattern these style lines and find out how to get them to work with, and fit the body.

Plus!! Fun FACT! I got this fabric whilst in Paris :}

Patterned Pants

Now that the sun is coming out I decided to pull out my patterned pants! I am loving lighter colors this spring. Spring is great because it is getting warmer but its still not hot so you can get some last minute wear into some of your fall/winter items while pulling out your spring/summer wear. It is really fun to mix items from different seasons. For example, I did an earlier post about pairing a sweatshirt over a pretty dress.

When wearing pants with a bold print I like to stay simple with my top so that my pants are the focal part of my outfit and can really stand out! I did layer on a textured cardigan (It's kinda hard to tell in the pictures...) when it was chillier that day, as well.  Anyways, these pants just add a little spring flair to my outfit and they are super fun. I get so many compliments when I wear them; I think because they are so different!
...
I only have a month left of classes until summer! I am so excited to make all these fun summer memories and make it the best summer yet! I have never been too big on summer fashions... BUT this year I have been really excited for Spring and Summer so I will try to still make posts and step up my warm-wear-game!

What fashions are you looking forward to this Spring/Summer??

Edgy Details

Last month, while in Paris, I decided to stop into a store I've never been to, Zara. Now I had heard of Zara before through other fashion bloggers or fashion youtubers, but have never visited it myself. The store had so many classy, unique pieces that also had some edge (which is totally what I love)! I got this dress there that is a tubular silhouette with gathers in the back that add a little more movement to the dress. I love this dress because I don't have anything else like it and the blue color is just lovely! I love pairing this dress with edgy details like my spike bracelet and my combat boots!

Spring Flowers

Spring is such a fun time! The weather is getting warmer, and fashions are starting to change. One fashion element that I loved last year and will continue to love this year is flower headbands! They are such a cute way to add some sweet girly-ness to your outfit. My outfit in these pictures is already quite girly... but flower headbands can give any outfit a kind of "flower child" edge and is such a cute boho accessory.
