Mug + Sharpie

Here's a fun little craft I did this week and it's such a fun gift idea for birthdays or just a fun art activity!

All you need is a ceramic mug, plate, or bowl, etc. and a sharpie and an oven and KAPOW you have a super-cute and original item of your own!

You can get so creative with this kind of thing. I really like the idea of writing a positive quote on something that you can look at and read each morning. Those positive words can seriously start your day off right!

After you write on your mug and have your desired design, just stick it in the oven at 350 degrees and set your timer for 30 minutes. Place the mug in the oven during preheat. Bake; When time is up, turn the oven off and let your mug cool completely in the oven.

Twinkle

Leather has been a HUGE trend for fall/winter this year! I personally am loving the "leather" legging. Its a perfect way to add a little bit of edge to an outfit. I'm so glad I was finally able to find some I liked at H&M a few months ago. They are blocked with a knit fabric on the back so they fit nicely :) They have gone to good use, let me tell you. 

Leather leggings are super fun to mix with dresses and long shirts. In this particular outfit, I had A LOT of fun with layering different items. I wore my mini-stars dress over my leggings. To add warmth, I included my black cardigan with my new jean-hoodie vest from Forever 21. This look is fun because it is edgy but still feels a little girly because of the flirty star dress.

Beanies and Brooches

Messy hair don't care? Yup. I've been living the hat life right now! 

A fun way to add a little sparkle or vintage flair to your look is to pin a brooch onto the side of your beanie. Today is the first time I have tried this fashion tip, but I am really liking it so I think I'm going to be wearing brooches a lot more often!! Plus beanies are just so easy and fun to wear!
